The Spiritual and the Physical Reading: Acts 1:8 1. Introduction There are agents for physical sensitivity and there are agents for Spiritual sensitivities 2. Salvation is by the Lord A Christian has responsibility for their Salvation as much as God has a responsibility for a Man's Salvation. Acts 1:8. Lesson: God does not simply impose instructions on us. 3. The Need for Agreement Amos 3:3 Unless a man operates in the Spirit and Truth he cannot engage the God of his creation. John 4:24 shows us That man works with God by relating to the Spirit of God. 4. Our Physical instruments for living - The Five senses Have you ever considered how you see things? i. Invisibility, Intangibility and insensitivity is no the same as non existence. Lesson: Whatever is standing between you and God is your greatest enemy! Question: Is there always a connection between a person and the object of sensitivity? a. Touch In Touch, the communication has to be in contact with your person b. Taste The touching occurs in your mouth on your tongue. -----------oooooooooo------------- No direct contact c. Smell Smell uses the medium of air. in close proximity. d. Hearing Hearing also uses air because air is good at carrying sound. Hearing can be in far proximity e. Seeing Light carries the light characteristics of the object and brings it to your eye. Lessons Learnt: Two things have been established. 1. Different organs specialize in their reception. Eg. The Nose to smell and the Tongue for taste etc. 2. The method used and the mediums through which these sensitivities are sent are different. Eg. air, light sound etc. Note: If there is anything going on around a man that can affect His life but is not received by these senses then Man's life is definitely in danger. That means beyond the five senses - MAN IS STUCK. 5. Divine and Physical Systems Divine Systems are far Superior and affect All things. And by Jesus a man who is flesh and blood may have access into Divine things by the Holy Spirit. The two must be allowed to work together for a man to reach his goal - God! 6. The Consciousness of Divine Means Be Conscious that God has made provision in Man to have access to the superior Divine system 1 Peter 1:4 Divine promises, 1 Corinthians 2:12-13 we may know. Will empower a Christian in his daily life. 7. Divine Mediums examples Holy Spirit, Believe, Word, Faith a. 1 Corinthians 2:12 The Holy Spirit b. John 6:63, Word of Jesus c. John 10:10, Jesus I have come d. Matthew 8:8 I am a man under Authority (with Faith) e. Acts 11:14 Words f. Acts, 16:31, Believe g. John 14:12-14 Believe Believe the Lord Jesus. 9. Conclusion we are Still connected We can still connect with God As the Bible says...But not with God! With God all things are possible. With the spiritual proximity is removed.Contact is removed But engagement remains. We can still have access to our God. Amen
