Things the Children must do and not slip away. Reading: John 17:11 Introduction A Christian is kept by the Name of the Lord. This should be added to the Christian's mindset. That the Name of the Lord upon us keeps us from been drawn astray. Consciousness: This is an important aspect of any life form. The reason adults behave as adults is because they are conscious of that fact. It is the same with kids, soldiers, Fathers, mother's, Jesus (John 8:23,55), and God (Isaiah 45:5). Dear Christian know who you are!! And have that consciousness. You only live what your consciousness is. What Consciousness? That God Al-mighty is my Father (not because He created me but He has actually brought me forth James 1:18) The Holy Ghost lives in me. Romans 8:11 I am elevated above the natural man. 1 Corinthians 2:14 I have the name of Jesus Mark 16:15-17 All things are possible unto me because I believe Matthew 17:20 etc. Forgetfulness Deuteronomy 6:12,8:14, Luke 15:17 What is it to forget? This is when a person remains in a position where his actions become contrary to what he is. 2 Samuel 11:8-9, Uriah was saved the first time by His consciousness. He was a soldier. Who are you? What have you Forgotten. Why is it necessary that some things should be kept in remembrance? Because it is part of life! Forgetfulness can be costly and most of our life contains things that constantly remind us of things due in our lives now, in the future and also in the lives of others. We remind ourselves daily of things we need to do to survive. Do I have enough for me and my children? How will my life be when I grow old? and many more. Now if one does not bring these things constantly into remembrance, ones life can fail disastrously! Forgetfulness is caused by things such as a good life Deuteronomy 6:12,8:14 and also a Bad circumstances. Mark 14:50. A child of God is not living a natural life and he must apply the principles of the Kingdom first before any other, Daniel 6, Paul Acts 16:25, Jesus John 18:36 etc. John 16:33 The circumstances of this life is fleeting and passing. Do not be carried away by it. Anxious situations Philippians 4:12-13 Galatians 2:20, Because of this the Bible enjoins is to focus on Jesus. Hebrews 12:2 so that as a child of God you may remain focused. Many of the attacks of the enemy is aimed at derailing your focus and creating forgetfulness. Enticement and lust James 1:14-15 This is a key activity of the enemy. He makes things attractive when they should not be. Genesis 3:6. When things become unduly attractive to you remember who you are! You have a higher life! Procrastination Proverbs 24:30-34 The story in Proverbs show clearly how poverty strikes. This is a situation where one lowers his guard (zeal) about a matter and gradually allows that matter to deteriorate. 2Peter 1:12-13, Hebrews 10:32 Dear child of God continually called to remembrance your mission and ministry as you love the Lord. Diligence; Doing a thing well. You may not believe it but one strong deception of the enemy is to encourage a man to do half of a thing!. Nothing but total commitment is Christian Luke 9:62 The enemy may use any combination of the things. Doing things halfway is one of his strategies. I can't tell you how many Christians are one foot in one foot out. In Church attendance, Tithes, Love, Word Study etc. Let us do well! Anything executed in this manner never achieves excellence. Conclusion: Remember you are either a Christian or you are not. You may be a young Christian or a mature one but There is no half Christian. May we grow to bring joy to our Father in Heaven. Amen.
