The Household of God Ephesians 2:19
The
Lord wants you to work with Us.
Reading: 2Peter. 1:4 Whereby are given unto us exceeding great and
precious promises: that by these ye might be partakers of the divine nature,
having escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust.
In today's Sermon we would want to discuss the extent and times of a man's work
in the things that the Lord does.
1 Jesus Cleans a leper according to the lepers Word Matthew 8:2
And, behold, there came a leper and worshipped him, saying, Lord, if thou wilt,
thou canst make me clean.
8:3 And Jesus put forth his hand, and touched him, saying, I will; be thou
clean. And immediately his leprosy was cleansed.
Lesson: Invite Jesus into the matter. He is a gentleman He will not use force
into your life or even sneak into your life like someone I know.
Call unto Him. Matthew 11:28. Jeremiah 33:3
2 A Man is not passive.
We are designed to partake in the things of God and be an active
participant.
John 9:7 And said unto him, Go, wash in the pool of Siloam, (which is by
interpretation, Sent.) He went his way therefore, and washed, and came seeing.
In this particular instance Jesus told the man to go to Siloam.
Man plays a part
What was the purpose of that act. Whether we know the purpose or not we know
that the man had a part to play.
Man's part brings completion
What does that indicate to us
His participation made the work complete according to the Bible. He came back
seeing.
Man Works according to His Words
His participation is an action on the the word of Jesus. Acting on His Word.
Jesus said it, he acted on it. And he received the results.
Man agrees with Jesus
His participation is a confirmation of His agreement with the demands of the
word of the Lord.
3. Many a time Christians believe that God Will do what He will do and that a
man cannot change God's purpose.
The Bible Teaches that there are events in creation that men cannot partake and
are not expected to partake. Like the creation of the universe, Job 38:4 however
In matters concerning man himself and the Earth we live in God has made it clear
he would want to work with us. Genesis 18:17, Isaiah 1:18, Genesis 2:8-15
Genesis 18:17. The Lord does not want to hide anything from us.
In Isaiah 1:18 God invited man to have Meeting about the sinful condition that
man is in. He promises that He will help man to remove his problem of sin.
Lesson:God desires to work with you
In Genesis 2;15 God appoints man as His maintenance officer. God is willing for
man to
do some work with Him.
Lesson: We are not lost in a universe with a God who doesn't care about us,
because we know that he cares about us. 1 Peter 5:7
4. Genesis 20:5-7 God requests Abimeleks to go to Abraham for prayer
20:7 Now therefore restore the man his wife; for he is a prophet, and he shall
pray for thee, and thou shalt live: and if thou restore her not, know thou that
thou shalt surely die, thou, and all that are thine
Even when the Lord is desiring for you to prosper in a situation he may use
another of his servants to prosper you.
Matthew 17:5, the peace of this Earth is given by God through Jesus our Saviour.
Lesson: Remember God desires to work with you even as a man.
5. Will Thou be made whole? John 5:6
Don't ever assume that when you are in a situation God knows so He will attend
to it. You have a great part to play.
Never close your mouth about things you want from the Lord.
In the Kingdom of God, Words are so important.
Speak what your think. Don't just think.
If you want something say it, don't think it.
Mark 11:23. Never forget what this verse says. We get what we SAY. SAY IT IN
PRAYER!
6. Answer Jesus with your Words
Jesus: What will thou that I shall do unto thee. Luke 18:41 Saying, What wilt
thou that I shall do unto thee? And he said, Lord, that I may receive my sight
Mark 10:51
And Blind Bartimaeus opened his mouth and SAID, Lord that I may receive my
Sight.
Lesson: Never let God Down by being quiet, Say it and get it. Amen
Conclusion
God desires to work with man in the greatest detail. Open up to God more than
you will open up to anyone.
Tell him what you can't tell anyone
He is on our side. Amen.
Hebrews 4:13 Father I am open to you as i am open to work with you in my
life. Thank you Father in Jesus Name. Amen
