By what Authority?

 Introduction
Christians have been given the ability to understand the nuances of this life it is important that we recognise it. One of those things is Authority. The effectiveness of a word is it's authority. It is not how hard you affirm, shout or coerce. It is its Source. What is it that makes it legitimate?
MATTHEW. 21:23 ..and who gave thee this authority?

What is Authority and what does it do?
Definition
The power or right to give orders, make decisions, and enforce obedience. A person or organization having political or Administrative Power and Control.

1. Authority and Life
Authority is a key to the life that we live on Earth.
It begins with our Father God himself when he uttered the first words let there be. (An exercise of Authority)

It is a statement of Authority. By that statement God enforced creation
 - to bend,
- to change,
- to submit,
- to relinguish originality and to have relevance only by the Word of God
The thing that did not have light was made to have light coming out of itself. Romans 4:16-17 as though they were.
Note it is a small thing for the Lord to make you what He desires.

2. Believing in Authority is having Authority Mark 9:23
The authority of the Lord makes all things possible. Mark has in this statement Belief.
You receive authority if you believe. That authority comes from the one you believe. He gives you the right to impose your wishes on anything.
Authority is imposing your will on a thing, completely disregarding anything it might have and believing that you have that Authority. Matthew 21:21


3. Faith has Authority
In the the word of God this great gift of God -His Authority in us- has been demonstrated many many times to comfort and encourage us, but how many of us are listening.
Moses at the Red Sea. Exodus 14:16
Joshua at the Jordan Joshua 3:16-18
Causing a metal to float by Divine authority 2Kings 5:5-6
Causing the dead to rise
Causing the Sun to Stop! Joshua 10:13
Causing a body issuing blood to STOP! Matthew Mark 5:30-31
I can go on and on BELIEVE! and receive this Authority


4. A Christians Should exercise Authority
Matthew. 7:29 For he taught them as one having authority, and not as the scribes.
Don't reduce your Christian life to a life of softness, rightness and helps alone. Christianity is to establish the Kingdom on Earth. Luke 11:20. It is a force. Matthew 11:12. It is disbanding and establishing it is Authority. Genesis 1:28, Jeremiah 1:10

5. Authority Causes Changes and demands Compliance
Notice by the authority of the Lord. By His Words new characteristics a transformation and ability is given for a thing to function in accordance with expressed authority.
Isaiah 55:11 To accomplish and to prosper.
Every created thing performs to establish the Word of the Lord 2Kings 7:1, 6,17.

6. Authority is received from the Authority you're under
Matthew. 8:9 For I am a man under authority, having soldiers under me: and I say to this man, Go, and he goeth; and to another, Come, and he cometh; and to my servant, Do this, and he doeth it
Your ability to function as a Christian comes more from your authority than from your hard work. Every one can do hard word but not every one has authority.
Remember that no matter the resistance your Authority is from the Supreme One! and all things must bow. Philippians 2:11


7. Use your authority to serve one others Acts 9:33
Matthew. 20:25 But Jesus called them unto him, and said, Ye know that the princes of the Gentiles exercise dominion over them, and they that are great exercise authority upon them.
Power without control is destructive. Ronaldo.
Be responsible with your authority. Jesus shows us our authority is for the benefit of others not their trouble.


8. The only legitimate challenge to Authority is another Authority
1Samuel 17:45, Matthew. 21:23 And when he was come into the temple, the chief priests and the elders of the people came unto him as he was teaching, and said, By what authority doest thou these things? and who gave thee this authority?

Walk in the Authority of Jesus Christ our Lord! Amen

Prayer: Father Help me to Constantly know my Authority from You and use it. Amen
