The Household of God Ephesians 2:19

Whose approval do we need? of men or from the Lord.

Galatians 1:1
Paul, an apostle, (not of men, neither by man, but by Jesus Christ, and God the Father, who raised him from the dead;)

Reading: Acts 12:1-3
12:1 Now about that time Herod the king stretched forth his hands to vex certain of the church.
12:2 And he killed James the brother of John with the sword.
12:3 And because he saw it pleased the Jews, he proceeded further to take Peter also.

Introduction
This verse of the Bible is written to distinguish the works of men from the works of the Lord. It is significant that a man makes this distinction. It is a suggestion that the whole book of Galatians is based on this fact.
In verses Galatians 1:11- 12 Paul makes a passionate appeal for men to see the Gospel for what it is -a Revelation of Jesus Christ - and not another philosophy.
To the extent that in verse Galatians 1:8 he declared that even he Paul was not authorized to change this Revelation.

1. Your Core Objective
Every man must have the basic objective in life where he fulfills this objective's requirements and makes his life worth living, purposeful and happy.
To live life without answering this basic question is not wise.
If you cannot do anything at all you can call on the God of your creation. That is what Paul did.
Paul came to this realization in Galatians 2:20

2. The futility of seeking peer (men's) approval
Jeremiah 17:5. John 12:42-43 For they loved the praise of men more than the praise of God.
There is nothing wrong by conforming to the general behavior of men because you are a man.
However there is everything wrong in conforming to things pertaining to your soul because only the Lord knows best. Matthew 11:28-29, Hebrews 13:17

3. We know in part 1 Corinthians 13:9
Men have limited understanding.
Our Best effort cannot answer our all our questions. Even when you have done things in the integrity of you heart it still does not make it right. Genesis 20:5-6. Only the Lord can save us. It is wise to depend on him.

4. Our approval must be of God
1 Kings 13:18-21,26 The Young prophet was killed when he was misled by an older prophet - the old prophet lied
The Most attractive approval of men can still be disastrous
There is a way that seems right unto a man but the end thereof are the ways of death. Proverbs 16:25

5. What should make a Christian excited? Luke 10:21, Matthew 11:24
Jesus showed the things that are really exciting. When the purpose of God is revealed on Earth. As we pray "Thy Will be done on Earth".
Proverbs 29:2 When righteous are in power people are happy
Rejoice because your names are written... Like 10:20. We ought to pray that our motives actions and results are acceptable by the Lord. Romans 12:2

How will a man please his Lord?

6. From casting lots to living by the Spirit. Acts 1:24-26
God has implanted in us the Holy Spirit so that what we need shall always be in us.
Jesus said the Holy Spirit Himself will tell us what we need to say Luke 12:11-12.
Dear Christian this is your awareness use of this provision by God to make you well.

7. The Leading of the Spirit
A keen awareness for any child of God is that you are a Christian because of the Spirit of the Lord Romans 8:14
The life of a Christians is made authentic by the the Holy Spirit.Romans 8:11
Matthew 4:1 Then was Jesus led up of the Spirit into the wilderness to be tempted of the devil.
Acts 10:38 How God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Ghost and with power: who went about doing good, and healing all that were oppressed of the devil; for God was with him. God is with us by the Holy Ghost.
Dear Christian your abilities are by the Holy Ghost within you. John 6:63

We should also know... If you are exposed and naked then...
Luke 22:3 Then entered Satan into Judas surnamed Iscariot, being of the number of the twelve.
John 13:27 And after the sop Satan entered into him. Then said Jesus unto him, That thou doest, do quickly

8. The Spiritual Intervention
your disposition is critical to the kind of intervention you get from the Spirit of God.
If your life has been given to Christ's there is a full justification for the Holy Ghost to intervene in your affairs.
Genesis 50:20. Joseph clarified to his brethren that God turned their evil actions into good.
Alternatively if your life is not for Christ the Holy Spirit will intervene ONLY with your permission.
Deceived and unaware
Ananias and Saphira: They believed they lied but Peter said Satan filled their heart.
Acts 5:3-4 The hearts of Annanias and the wife were filled by Satan to lie against the Holy Ghost.

Conclusion
Giving your life to Christ is the best form of insurance. Your life is under the care of the Holy Ghost continually for Jesus sake.

If you have not confessed the lordship of Jesus over your life your should do so for your peace.

Prayer; Father, Thank you. I make Jesus the Lord of my life. I invite the Holy Spirit to rule in life.
Amen.
