 Take on a Spiritual mind and avoid The mindset of the World

Reading: Romans 8:5-6.

The Word of God is above the word of the World Isaiah 55
The Bible explains that the word of God is in a different class.
Whilst the world is selling useless things to us for a price God is giving us priceless things for free.

2. Life is Eternal
The world cannot offer anything to God's design of Eternal things.Matthew 6;27-33
Things with eternal value are different from things without eternal value.
The only guarantee of things of Eternal value is Jesus Christ. Matthew 6:19-21. A life that does not see eternal value does not believe in eternity.
That life clamours for things James 4:3 and might even steal and kill because the focus and the scope of life in the eyes of such a one is short and limited to this Earth. Their loss or gain is limited to the earth.
You know what? it is really the things that are temporal and those that are going to waste that occupy us. Colossians 2:20-22
Tell me one thing that was superb ten years ago and it's still so today. The Bible is so true! When you have opportunity to use a thing it starts perishing.


3. God's design is to add to this World. 1 John 2:15-17
Many a time people want to show what they have toiled for as a blessing from God. Therefore many toil even the children of the kingdom. Romans 8;28 says things will work for you - not you working for things. Remember a fish brought tax money to Jesus. Matthew 17:27
Yes All things are from God but not all things are a blessing from God. 1Timothy 6:17.
When the blessings of God is given to a man it overrides natural ways of getting the same thing. Romans 4:6
Christians must look forward to Spiritual avenues that cannot be rationalised by earthly methods. These are normal to a believing Christian but many call it miracles but David called it a blessing. At thy word Luke 5:5


4. The things of God are valued as the Word of God says not with the wisdom of men. Psalm 124:1
It is a different Kingdom.
The Kingdom of God needs nothing from the Earth.
The purpose of today's sermon is to make a man who is a Christian live his Christian life in the manner that sources it's strength from the Lord and does not give credence to the life in the physical. The credit should go the contrary. Romans 8:5-6, It is the Earth that benefits from Heaven.
E.g. The Kings Butler died when he used the wisdom of the world to dis-explain Elisha's prophecy 2Kings 7. If it seems too much or too farfetched for your thinking, then it is best to honour God's greatness.


5. Seek Gods favor by His Word not with pity.
Jesus may have compassion on a person according to His own compassion but one cannot seek God with pity. It is completely carnal and does not even approach the Kingdom. Romans 9:15 a man does not make God have Mercy. He has Mercy on whom He chooses in His Righteousness!


6. Accept that the Word of God in and of itself is fully sufficient
In Genesis 1,The word of the Lord was totally sufficient for creation. This our world did not exist to speculate and rationalise whether those statement alligned with anything.
We have learned that a life is expressed in its authority. The Power of the Lord's Words caused the things that be not Romans 4:17 to be - he is my Father and your Father. John 20:17.
Like father like Son you can also cause things to be Mark 11;23, Matthew 9:29 According to your faith.


7. Don't settle for the words in the World
There is a better Word from our kingdom that has authority to bypass the laws on Earth. Exodus 14:16
If I may only touch His Garment Matthew 9:21
Jesus example. Share it to them. John 6:9-12

8. The two are not the Same
Accept the mutual exclusiveness of the Kingdom of God and the World. John 18:36, 17:14
Every move of the enemy in the life of men is to create faithlessness in a man and replace it with faith in the world.
The Bible Teaches us continually to have faith in God.
Contamination or mixing the two is a very dangerous concoction. John 6:33,48-49. Children of His must be continually conscious of their true origin.
It is quite common for men to seek God's kingdom only for the benefits of the world. It is short changing yourself big time.
This world should support a child of God to honour God.

It is easy, serve the Lord in Spirit. Amen
