The Household of God Ephesians 2:19

Salvation is an enabler II
(Makes things possible for a person).

Reading: 2Peter 1:4

John 9:39 And Jesus said, For judgment I am come into this world, that they which see not might see; and that they which see might be made blind.
 
Introduction
It is time that we grow up to understand that God saved us not only to clean our sins. (In fact the sins are sent away with the old nature) But to make us new creatures with hitherto unavailable abilities.
To Make us priests and Kings of God the Father. Revelations 1:6
How does this knowledge help us? 
As far as the butterfly is a caterpillar it is slow and clumsy. When it turns into a butterfly it's scope, beauty and freedom is expanded and it is just infectiously beautiful.

1. Do well to elevate your area of operation to the Jesus level. 
Ephesians 2:6
Many have lost this important opportunity by being argumentative, blinded and unrepentant by the same knowledge of the world which works to keep them from the Grace that the Father brought us by Jesus. Even Christians who have confessed Jesus can be caught in this dangerous trap.
Matthew 13:54-58
The Jews were looking at Jesus as any man would know him. That is the error of the world. A Christians admiration of Jesus must be different from the way the world admires Jesus. 

2.  Children of God have been given the ability to discern who the Lord is.
Matthew 13:16. 13:16 But blessed are your eyes, for they see: and your ears, for they hear.
Understand in yourself that you have other abilities that sets you apart from the world. 
And be conscious of it all the time. You are never reminded that your are a human being.

3. The Newness of life in Christ is a renewal not a makeover
A few examples will clarify the concept.
2 Corinthians 5:17. If any man is in Christ, he is a new creature. Old things have passed away.
1. The New is not extracted from the old. In that sense there is no connection.
2. There old things cannot and do not operate in the new
3. There old things are not involved because they pass away.

How does this help us? Now we know that even when a thing in Christ and another in the world looks like they are the same, they are not... - and you are that example.
This knowledge should encourage us to have a different view of the world, and have different aspirations.
The acknowledgement and use of this understanding (Philemon 1:6) is so critical for a growing Christian that without this knowledge and understanding, many slip back to what I call "Work and Pay" Christians.
I pray that though you are in the world, you will not be of the world.

4. The New Life gives you a new way of interpreting scripture and the move of God
Matthew 8:6-10
When that Grace is accepted or if it works in you, you have the ability to understand God and what is available to you. The Centurion was given an elevated understanding of what was really happening. 
It was an exercise of spiritual authority.

5. There is great opportunity for a child of God
There is great opportunity for that child of God who reads the scripture with this awareness (The possession of an elevated ability). 
It is of great help to you child of God if you are guided by God's Grace lavished upon us to keep the Kingdom open to us.
An example will clarify. John 3:6 That which is born of the flesh is flesh; and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit. To the world the second part of the statement is not understandable. In fact it is the most important part to a Christian.


6. Jesus and elevated understanding. Matthew 16:15-17
Listen to Jesus trying to lift some Jews
John 9:41 Jesus said unto them, If ye were blind, ye should have no sin: but now ye say, We see; therefore your sin remain. 
The elevated activity is seeing. Which way are you seeing. Only one of the seeing removes Sin.
The Joy is that every child of God has been given the eye that removes Sin. Many however are not using it! 
Acts 22:27-28 Paul knew he was a Roman Citizen. 
I Challenge everyone in the Household of God to know that you are actually in the Household of God Ephesians 2:19. If you do not know you will be given less than you deserve.


7. Words and meanings are completely different in the Jesus realm. 
We have seen one where seeing means blinded
Where the Word is Jesus John 1:14
Where life means more than mere existence.
I have come that you might have life John 10:10
Knowing how heavenly things are represented in our tongue is a new Testament Grace. As one gets to know more of these, a life of righteousness is very possible in this life.
Bring yourself to a place where the principles of heaven will be your understanding. Colossians  3:1-3, Matthew 6:20

8. Conclusion
Accepting Jesus as your personal Saviour is the beginning of a life of Newness.
In understanding, in expectation and in ability.

Father may I never slack in the use of may new abilities to honour the Name of Jesus.
