The Household of God Ephesians 2:19
What is your Foundation?
Reading: Hebrews 6:1-6.
1. Introduction
Many Christians have declared their Life for
the Lord Jesus Christ/ The Bible Teaches that subsequent to this a Christian
must have some fundamental beliefs. However the beliefs and teachings that have
followed have not always been desirable as the Bible Teaches.
We will endeavor to help many new Christians to be established properly for the
Lord.
Many have genuine desire to serve the Lord on conversion and this genuine desire
should eventually lead to the Lord.
The book of Hebrews teaches us that this important journey - growing to Christ
- must be guided by certain fundamentals to make the growth healthy.
2. Seeking Worldly objectives in Christ. Acts 8.13, 18-24
Though Simeon was a Christian he did not understand what Christianity was about.
His objective and the objective of Christ were not there same.
He sincerely but wrongly believed that the power of the Holy Ghost was a
way of making money.
Whist Christianity makes a person rich, the method and processes are very
different. 1 Timothy 6:5-10
The heart desire of a young Christian can be misguided and the Church must
correct the growing ones.
3. Perfecting the Saints
Reading Ephesians 4:11, It is for this purpose that the Church is built.
For the perfecting of the Saints - Saints. A Saint is one who has believed and
accepted Jesus as Lord and savior. The Bible Teaches that the saint needs to be
perfected.
When one believes and accept the Lord as Saviour, that is just the beginning
Saints must be perfected.
4. Pillars of the Foundation
There are some pillars required to hold every building. Hebrews 3:3. If the
pillars are not established the house remains weak.
The Bible identifies these pillars for all growing Christians. Hebrews 6:1-6

Christianity work. Jesus is the source of life for the Christian John 10:10.
Christianity fails if a Christian does not walk in tandem with Jesus.
All who have attempted to try by themselves without Christ have failed. Love
with Christ.
4.2. Repentance from Dead worksColossians 2:19-23
Believe, Trust and abandon yourself to God.
4.3. Faith towards God Hebrews 11:5-6

according to his belief in Christ (from the Heart) not according to what he
thinks (Mind)
A student can never be greater than the master Luke 6:40

uses.
5.3. Resurrection from the dead
1 Corinthians 15:15-20. Christianity without the hope of resurrection is like

be with Him.

Your desire for Resurrection should guide your life now
5.4. Eternal Judgement
The notion of Judgement brings in accounting for ones life and his actions. The
life a man has is a gift and must be accounted for. Without judgement this life
is will not have any value, because no one is interested. But this life has
value and it belongs to God.
It is s joy to know that the Judge God himself is ready to help us live this
life.
You can avoid unfavourable judgement. John 5:24,
Romans 14:12,
2Corinthians 5:10,
Matthew 25:32
