The Household of God Ephesians 2:19

 

It is more Blessed to give than to Receive Acts 20:35.

Reading: Acts. 20:35 I have shewed you all things, how that so labouring ye ought to support the weak, and to remember the words of the Lord Jesus, how he said, It is more blessed to give than to receive

Introduction
A Christian is born for service. Paul said that I have shown you all things that you must labour to support the weak Ephesians 4:28
The Christian Life Is a Life of service.
 It is also a life of blessing - blessing and receiving blessing. 
However the Lord said giving is more Blessed than receiving.
All things are of God. So the one giving and the one receiving are all ultimately receiving from God. 1 Corinthians 8:6

1. Giving brings multiplication
There is no increase of anything unless someone or something gives John 3:16, John 12:24, John 15:13
1. If a man invests in a bank, he provides the opportunity for the one who takes the loan to work with his money and in the end return the money with interest.
There is a physical and a spiritual principle that we as children of God should learn.
Things you may give
Your Love, your time, your sacrifice that you make all have the potential to bring benefits to the Kingdom of our Lord. Romans 10:14-17. John 13:15
It is only when another takes action to help the ignorant, that something happens, otherwise nothing happena to the old who does not know.


2. God loves Givers.
Malachi 3:10 Bring ye all the tithes into the storehouse, that there may be meat in mine house, and prove me now herewith, saith the LORD of hosts, if I will not open you the windows of heaven, and pour you out a blessing, that there shall not be room enough to receive it.
Giving opens the way for God to continue His Blessing of a man's life. 
When a man is full (whether of Good or of bad things), nothing can be added. When we give we create space for God to fill us again.
"Give and it shall be given into you" . Luke 6:38.
Create space for God to fill by giving you the next batch of what you need.

3. Giving Draws Goodness unto you John 12:32
When one does fishing, the principle is that the little bait on the hook attracts big fishes.
Note: it does not only attract one fish but many, so one has a choice!
By Giving you provide opportunity for things that are drawn to you and your own success may depend on the drawn group. 
Every successful business gives and takes the best. Every successful man gives and receives the best.

Every one looks to be given a fair opportunity. Giving provides that fair opportunity to men.
Your gift provides a channel for others to express their God given abilities. Potentials that are beneficial may never materialize. Numbers 20:21, Obadiah 1:10-16
Your giving will invariably provide the opportunity for you to get a good choice.

John 12:32 The purpose of our Christian life is to draw men into God. If giving is an attraction, then your giving can attract men unto God.


4. Giving creates multiplication
John 12:24.
When a seed is planted it dies but it multiplies itself by the providence of God and the sower can harvest more than he sowed. ( When we give it is a good thing that we pray for God's providence on our giving)
As far as one holds his seeds in his hand, the weather, the soil, and rain cannot affect it's growth.
When God is part of giving it will flourish. See, the benefit may not even come to you but the space you have created will be filled by God again for better performance.

5. More Blessed to Give
 If one is unable to give one should be worried, because the opportunity available to you will be limited. Those who have the desire are always working harder and get more opportunities.
What is in giving that is different? A man can only give of what he has, but to receive you don't have to have. A giving man is Blessed.

6.  Desire is better than size or quantum.
The Principle works better with desire. It does not matter how little you have, It will serve someone's purpose and prosper them. In the end the little one has, can be multiplied.
You may not want to build a kioks but the money you have can easily build a kioks and change a person's life. It will bring prosperity to "Madam Kioks" 
What is the reason for this? The reason is " Any amount of a thing given has a level where it can make profit" and prosper a thing. A morsel of rice is a big bonus for an ant.

Men are deceived into thinking that it is only when something benefits you directly that it becomes the thing to pursue. However there are many people doing things which hardly comes to your attention.
Can you imagine getting up one day and there is no market? Or getting up one day and finding no transport on the road
Remember these people don't have to be there for you.

Understand that giving in many ways fulfills God's plan for this Earth 
Others are giving in ways that eventually benefit you. 
Your sacrifices will also keep others going.

Pray giving thanks for the
Bread of Life (The body of Jesus v. 48) and the drink of the New Covenant (The Blood if Jesus v.53)
Prayer: Thank The Lord for being a partaker of the New Life through the day and resurrection of Jesus.
