Reading: Hebrews 12:1

1. Introduction
It is important to know and to understand that men want good things but why is it that evil so easily besets us? Hebrews 12:1
One is cheating, another steals and yet another betrays a brother. Even those appearing to love others only do so because of their own needs. Why?
Those telling others that they are evil are themselves evil. Romans 2:1-4, 2 Corinthians 10:12. Others are busy comparing themselves with themselves.
Lord, may our lives be cleaned and washed only by your word and not by comparison.

2. This must STOP!
How come we are so incomplete?
Smiling to each other with our teeth and boiling with evil within? This is pathetic! It must stop! But how?
Ask your friend why can't you do the good you want?
Answer him because you have the wrong partner!

3. How do desires become evil?
Problem source: 1 Corinthians 4:7 Everything that any man can ever have, have to be given to him. Yet, yet few people acknowledge that! Everyone thinks he did it.
If we are to ask and receive then our means would be right. Lying, malice, pull him down (PhD) etc. would not make sense.

4. How are you owned?
No man can really do what he wants. Because you don't own yourself, Born again or not. Romans 6:20. 1 Corinthians 6:20. You are either owned for righteousness or for sin.

5. God and the World
Watching and listening to many Christian programs etc, I have realized that many Christians and lovers of God have the wrong approach to this life. How?
They like the world but they love God. 1 John 2:15-17 clearly says that cannot be possible.
Why do people love the world and God?
In the world
People get what they want by any means good or bad but such an approach has problems. Typically they do not ask God.

6. The Means: God and the World
In fact many want things without thinking about the means. This leads to Lying, prostitution, betrayal, PhD, etc.
This is the biggest trap of the enemy - the same that was used in Genesis 3:1-5. The fruit was attractive - but it was against God's express direction. In Matthew 4:9 He used the same trick against Jesus!. If you'll bow down...

If one lies for example and you are given a position in a job, the Devil has you. You have to continue to lie to keep the job. And as far as you're a liar, the Enemy has you. His job is done, finished. If you keep that job till you die the enemy won't need to do a thing, because you will continue to lie. (Repent come out and do the truth God is able to care for you!)

The how - (the means with which) you get anything is more important as the possession of the thing.


7. Conclusion
• Know that you are owned Romans 6:23, 5:21
• Accept it or not whatever you have would have been given to you. 1 Corinthians 4:7, after all you cannot create a grain of sand how come you have in your heart that you did it?

• If you listen to the world you'll fall in the same error. They use any means. Killing, stealing and destroying James 4:2. The enemy has them.

8. Partner with Jesus
• When you ask you'll receive Matthew 7:7. and as you know you've received boasting is excluded. Romans 3:26-27 Evil cannot come through your quest and desires.
• He said ask John 16:24 so that your joy may be full. Good will bless and as no sorrow. Proverbs 10:22.
• Live your life in Partnership with Jesus. Human partnership even with the right intent is dubious to say the least.

Prayer: Father, Help me Partner with Jesus in this life.
