Reading: John 7:17

1. Introduction
One of the very important characteristics of a growing Christian is his becoming aware. 1 john 3:1-3. The Revelation in today's sermon is that the word of God is LIVE. It is live as in live coals and one who engages it must know it must be handled with care.

2. Nature of the Word Hebrews 4:12
Quick and Powerful: Cannot be stopped and cannot be frustrated or resisted.
Sharper than any two-edged sword: Can cut anything whether in the Spirit or in the flesh. You may cut the bondages of the enemy by the Word of God.
Piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit and of the joints and marrow, : Pierce into things unimaginable whether of the Spirit or of the flesh: Speak the Word to anything; Jesus Spoke to Dumb Spirits, The sea, The Fig tree, the Dead, The lame, to seen things to unseen things. Don’t be economical with the Word of God.
and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart; Reveals thoughts

3. Handling the Word
Anyone who takes the bible to read or listens to Words of Jesus or the Words of the God must know you are in serious business. It is a great opportunity because nothing is hidden from it you will not make any mistakes. Acts 4;19. If one knows how to handle it its effectiveness is multiplied. Joshua 1:8-10

4. Confidence in the Word
Living in the word by faith Hebrews 13:5-6 for he has said.
What you do with the word of God must be related what you believe it is and where came from.
Believe also that the word of God is spiritual 1 Corinthians 2:13

5. The Word is Live
My word will not go and come to me void. Isaiah 55:10-11
Like acid you can't sprinkle it around without effect. Like acid in enforces a change of character. They had been with Jesus. Acts 4:13, Acts 11:26.
Know that no matter your reason for engaging the Word of God Jesus or the Bible you will change

When The Word of God takes over my Soul 2X
I will be changed and
And His Glory will be revealed
When The Word of God comes in to my Soul



6. God has invested His Power in His Word Psalm 138:2
Jesus in John 7:17 if you will go his will you will know. As you apply yourself to the Word of God not just in Study but in application, The acts of heaven will appear on earth. Mark 4:41
I can do nothing of myself John 8:28, John 8:54. It is a man that required a container to keep things God Word can keep anything anywhere

7. A Unique object of POWER
The words I speak to you are Spirit and life john 6:63, See the word bigger that the Atomic Bomb.
It is an object of unique power Luke 10:17-19 Anyone who applies himself to it. Notice I said not who applies it.
It has to be handled with care Luke 9:54-56

8. Will benefit the Man who applies himself to it
It builds - build you up Acts 20:32
Makes one Wise 2 Timothy 3:15
Gives inheritance in the Kingdom of God Acts 20:32
It is personified in Jesus John 1:14

Father; Oh that I may completely know The Power and the Nature of your WORD. Amen
