Altar: A place of prayer, a place to seek the face of God
Reading: Genesis 8:20

1. The Majesty of God
Altar creation sin spread in the world. Good desired to clear the Earth. Good discussed with Moses. God will not do anything without telling His servants. All families new one whom good can speak by
After the flood when Noah saw the Majesty of God when he realized what God can do he built an altar.

2. How many Altars are available?
Two side to most things light darkness etc. The altar of God and that of Satan
Faith: Noah believed and gave himself to God. Abraham Genesis 12:7 here he built an altar

3. Worship represents a form of altar
Be careful the worship is the right one. Genesis 13:3-4 Bethel

• Altar as Commitment
As Commitment to God and point of reference

• Altar as remembrance or reference
A place of remembrance Genesis 12:7 where God made the promise

• Your Altar
Every family must have an Altar
This established one Altar. Man cannot serve two Masters. This will establish a known altar that of God

• Jesus as altar
Old times Altar was a great of stone. Now Jesus replaced the Altar in the New Testament.

4. If one has no Altar
One looses in many ways. You are bereft of faith. E.g. Some Drivers and Talisman. Before one engaged the world go to your Altar. In times of trouble almost everyone calls on Jesus. You cannot call on an Altar you have not built

5. What Sacrifice?
Time: Give quality time to God. Jesus is your Altar in your heart. You can always get there at any time. Without an altar you have no protection. There is no empty space if you don't build an altar the enemy will build one for you
I don’t play with my money, my work. What are they to you?

6. Worship
How Many times do we worship. If one has an altar at home it helps you to worship at all times. Worship is not only at the church. Don’t wait until you come to church, you can worship in the car, at work in fact anywhere. It is a lifestyle.
* A place of worship
Abraham only requirement was to obey God. Good Will do his part.
We worship God in the heart. Every morning what is required of me? Commit to God. This does not happen because you know about God but because you have an altar of God.
Do not have a substitute for you altar. E.g. TV. Abraham and Jesus were faithful.

7. Elijahs Altar 1 Kings 18:30-38
Elijah prepared the altar of God. Don't let your altar be broken. A serious time will require serious actions. Elijah Built the altar of God.
An altar must be identified for God named and purposed for God, So that no other power can compete with your purpose.

There must be a sacrifice on the altar. Our sacrifice has been provided by the Lord in the person of Jesus. Good Himself provided the sacrifice.
Have an altar and engage with God before doing anything in the world.
