The Household of God Ephesians 2:19

From In to Out: Depend on what God Has done Sunday, May 28, 2017

Reading Romans 2:25-29

1. Introduction
Your Christianity is not all up to God but certainly it is not all up to you.
All men can run but some run naturally. All men can sing but some sing naturally. Where is the difference? In the inside men are different though they all look the same on the outside.

2. Don't depend on circumcision
Circumcision is a sign that one belongs to God. But to really belong to God there must be something inside you Romans 2:28-29.
• Be busy for God on the outside but more importantly let God be busy on your inside. 1 Corinthians 9:16.
• No vehicle runs without fuel. You need to turn to the Lord frequently 2Corinthians 3:16

3. God does the inside work and we do the outside Work Ezekiel 36:26-27
Exodus 13:3-4 God Does the inside work. Buta on the wall indicates a Muslim house. It does not make the people inside the house Muslims. Romans 3:20
• Sampson was strong by the Spirit of the Lord Judges 16:20

4. Christ is the end of the law Romans 10:4
Know why we come to Christ.
• We come to Christ so he can help us not to show how good we are. Titus 3:5.
• We come to Christ because though he has a yoke it is easy and gives rest for our souls Matthew 11:28

5. Every Man needs the inside work of God. Romans 10:1-4
People including Paul may be your witness that you are zealous for God but you will still need the inside work of Jesus Christ.
• Don’t put the cart before the horse Matthew 23:23, Luke 10:41-42

6. Conclusion
A Christian’s focus should be on what God is doing in his inside not on what he can do on the outside.

Key Morale

Once the Inside is done the outside will follow.
