The Household of God Ephesians 2:19
Asking Sunday, January 22, 2017
Reading: Psalm 119:105
Last week we saw how it is possible for a whole industry to thrive on this earth
making the most money but those who are supposed to drive these vehicles do not
even see anything.
How did they do it?
Constant communication, Total reliance, Total obedience, And total trust
Asking
One thing we did not discuss is asking. When they are not sure as many of us
are, they ask the controller. Remember the controller can see but the pilot
cannot see so it is important to ask the one who sees!
Ask the one who sees
No one will survive on a blind journey without asking. John 9:39-41
Ask even when you think you know 2 Corinthians 4:4.
Trust and dependence requires that you refer all matters to your boss!
It is wrong to assume that he (Jesus) knows.
1. Your will is yours
2. No one ought to impose himself on you. Every decision must be yours.
Read: John 4:10, 14 Jesus has a better offer.
He requires that you ask. We ask because we have to allow him into our will. The
greatest acknowledgement is to allow one into your will.
2. Asking, that is To allow one into your will is surrender. It is handing over
control of your life to him. Asking is handing over control to Jesus.
What does asking do?
It immediately removes your hand from the steering that means your crooked and
wrong methods will not interrupt again. When the Holy Spirit is at work
everything must be still!
Matthew 7:7 Ask. 20:32, Luke 18:41, Mark 10:51
Surrender! Ask Jesus to take over your life.
Ask him to drive your craft to the proper destination
Ask him to come in Rev 3:20
Prayer: Father, lead me always that I may walk in your paths.
Key Morale
Exercise your God given Right. Amen
