The Household of God Ephesians 2:19
While we wait for the Lord Sunday, November 12, 2017
Reading: 1 Thessalonians 4:13: But I would not have you to be ignorant,
brethren, concerning them which are asleep, that ye sorrow not, even as others
which have no hope.
1 Thessalonians 4:18: Wherefore comfort one another with these words.
1. Introduction
Matthew 24:38-39. 1 Corinthians 10:6
The Bible is here to admonish us. To direct our paths to life.
Watch and do not fall victim as others.
We are advised not to be ignorant about Christians who have died that we sorrow
not. That we have hope!
Our example is Jesus. If Jesus rose, then we shall all rise.
If it is in this world only that we have hope we are among all men most
miserable. 1 Corinthians 15:19-24. Be advised and order your ways accordingly.
2. The kingdom of God cometh not with observation Luke 17:20-21. John 3:3, 2
Corinthians 5:7, Matthew 13:11-15
The common notion in these verses is that if one does not accept Christ truly
these things can happen on one’s blind side!
3. Did you know there are two kinds of sorrows in the Bible? 2 Corinthians
7:9-10. Philippians 2:27
Just make sure your sorrow is the right type. Then we work for Eternal Life.
4. Comfort one another with these words. John 6:61-63, Matthew 12:37
Words are our key weapons. To build and to destroy.
Christians must use words advised by the Bible.
Prayer: Father, I depend on your support while I wait, until I meet my Lord.
Key Morale
Jesus will surely come!. Amen
