The Household of God Ephesians 2:19

The Grace of God: How do I live for the Lord? Sunday, January 08, 2017

Reading: Titus 3:5-8
Not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to his mercy he saved us, by the washing of regeneration, and renewing of the Holy Ghost; Which he shed on us abundantly through Jesus Christ our Saviour; That being justified by his grace, we should be made heirs according to the hope of eternal life. This is a faithful saying, and these things I will that thou affirm constantly, that they which have believed in God might be careful to maintain good works. These things are good and profitable unto men.

1. Introduction:
Many of us would like to live for the Lord but we do not understanding what is required of us.
Our ways are human. It is time learn a few things from the Lord himself.

2. A man has no part in the work of salvation. Ephesians 2:8.
It is by grace! What did this mean? It means that it is God's mercy and grace that makes us break free from humanity.
Why would one want to break from humanity? Because the human institution is a failed system. Though it is not visible the end of such a system is death. Proverbs 14:12. Ephesians 2:1-3

3. Where are you going?
To live this life only to support your needs in this earth is a miss take. Philippians 3:18- That is you have taken the wrong thing.
We are in church because the Lord says in Titus 3:7. We should be made heirs according to the hope of eternal life.

4. Constancy Titus 3:8
The things we do in the Lord require repetition to establish us. The continuance helps to establish us in the Lord. Philippians 3:1
Profiting may appear 1 Timothy 4:15.
Just like Moses had a rub off with the Lord so shall you by association, by repetition, by love profit in God’s kingdom

Let us follow after these things.
